‘Under the Same Sky’ showcases the work of students on our Foundation year. Each piece shown stems from a self-directed project personal to the maker in response to research and investigation around the theme of interconnection.
Offering a wide range of media and spins on the subject of interconnection – from digital illustration and installation to sculpture and textiles – the work in the exhibition exemplifies the range of practices offered to prepare students for progression to one of six specialist host courses within Westminster School of Arts (BA Fine Art Mixed Media, BA Photography, BA Contemporary Media Practice) or Westminster School of Media and Communication (BA Animation, BA Illustration, BA Graphic Design).
The foundation year develops the essential principles used in contemporary creative fields, with ‘Under the Same Sky’ being a culmination of independent work evolved from experimentation with the skills learned. From performance to portraiture, mixed media to moving image, these creatives explore the theme with curiosity, candour, and criticality. (Inter)connect with them here.
