Our course offers a flexible, multidisciplinary, multimedia approach to the study and practice of contemporary illustration and visual communication. A supportive learning community encourages students to develop their own distinctive visual practice through experimentation and inquiry.
Students work on a broad range of projects, self-defined and from industry, to explore and examine a variety of ideas using processes and practices in both traditional and emerging technologies.
This year, Illustration students have shown great resourcefulness and invention exploring themes such as: fantastic and natural worlds; concepts of home and personal journeys; character design; drawing and image-making for commercial design, conceptual exploration and social commentary. Illustration students adopt their own figurative, graphic, abstract, decorative and surreal visual languages. The resulting work engages many audiences and takes a variety of visual forms.
Thank you for helping us celebrate an extraordinary collection of young illustrators & visual communicators.
We hope you enjoy the showcase.
Please note that in 2022, the Illustration and Visual Communication BA was revalidated and it is now titled Illustration BA.
